Like any skill, the first time you try this out you will probably fail or feel awkward doing it.  You will spend more time planning on what to talk about than actually saying it.   The secret is to practice at it and start with the basics first.  Rather than slotting it directly into your pickup women toolbox, practice it in everyday life first. 

Start with the basics, and that is getting comfortable with having a chat with people you just met.  The next time you are at the mall, say hello to the salesperson behind the cash register (don’t feel weird if it is a guy – you are just working on communication here).  Next, move up to the next step and add ‘how are you’ to build your comfort level in talking to strangers.
