ROUTERS TAKE FIBREGLASS POOLS IN NEW DIRECTION

Gone are the days when a fibreglass pool meant a bright blue UFO in the backyard.  Modern fibreglass pools are available in a vast range of sizes, shapes, textures and colours – and their popularity is on the rise.

This rise in popularity has largely been fuelled by significant technological improvements in the manufacturing process that has enabled fibreglass pools to shed their old reputation and build a strong new one based on their looks, style, performance and longevity.

The leading makers of fibreglass pools use cutting-edge cnc machines with computer aided robotics in order to build the moulds for the pools with pin-point accuracy.  An example of this is a manufacturer using a large capacity 5-axis CNC router with the latest in CAD/CAM technology which offers high-speed machining of moulds, patterns etc, thereby allowing fibreglass pools to be constructed with loads of detail and added features.
